A Full-notebook Day

Today I was lost in a recollection of memoir and did not notice that the last blank page in my 'thinking-out-loud' writing practice notebook had arrived.

It's good to have filled 189 pages of writing, but I forgot to leave two blank pages for an index. I've gone back and highlighted the main topic of each page and numbered the pages so an index will allow me to find the topics again when I want to write them up in yWriter.

I also read the first half of Abigail Thomas' book 'Thinking About Memoir'

...she is also addicted to the feel of pen on paper, and uses the term 'notebook' rather than 'journal' as 'journal' sounds too formal and might limit her freedom to jot down anything and everything.
Here's a quote from the start of Chapter 2 :
"A lot of writing consists of waiting around for the aquarium to settle so you can see the fish."

So tomorrow I'm going to start a new 'thinking-out-loud' notebook and also a 'fiction-only' notebook, and a third one for 'memoir-only'. I'm going to need a bigger bag at this rate.
